With its network now extending across the National Capital Region, the Delhi Metro has registered its highest ever ridership when over 17 lakh people opted for the modern transport system yesterday.
With this, the Delhi Metro has broken its earlier June 13 record of 16.93 lakh commuters. Incidentally, it was also the first time when the DMRC carried over 17 lakh passengers on a single day.
The ridership has been increasing ever since the Delhi Metro began opening corridors of the Phase-II to the public last year.
