Security at the Bengaluru International Airport has been enhanced with immediate effect and till August 20, according to a passenger advisory issued by Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL).
In a release, BIAL said that enhanced security checks have been put in place by the police and CISF authorities at the Bengaluru International Airport and at the entrances to the Trumpet Interchange on its approach road, in view of the approaching Independence Day.
“These measures are likely to cause delay. Passengers are therefore advised to reserve time for these checks and report early at the airport,” added the release.
These checks are to be introduced with immediate effect and would continue up to August 20, it pointed out.
