Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, announced on Tuesday its offer of free stopovers and stay for Diamond First or Pearl Business Class passengers on the airline.
Free stays would be offered at selected luxury hotels in downtown Abu Dhabi, Yas Island or Dubai to guests travelling via Abu Dhabi to the 65-plus destinations on the airline's global network.
Guests who purchase a combination roundtrip Diamond First class (on long-haul sectors) and Pearl Business Class (on short-haul sectors) airfare will receive two free nights' accommodation at The Yas Hotel, Fairmont Bab Al Bahr or Inter Continental Abu Dhabi in Abu Dhabi, or Pullman – Mall of the Emirates or Fairmont Dubai in Dubai.
Those who purchase a round trip Pearl Business class airfare will receive one free nights' accommodation at Crown Plaza Yas Island or Park Rotana Abu Dhabi in Abu Dhabi, or Novotel World Trade Centre, Bonnington Jumeirah Lakes Towers or Rose Rayhaan by Rotana in Dubai.
The free nights' accommodation may be taken in either direction but the offer applies only to the designated flight itinerary and may not be carried over to subsequent travel.
Mr Peter Baumgartner, Etihad Airways' Chief Commercial Officer, said, “These latest deals are designed to appeal to premium travellers who are able to take advantage of breaking their travel schedule and visiting either Abu Dhabi or Dubai. We have worked closely with a number of luxury hotels in both cities and this promotion provides our premium guests with tremendous value and opportunity.”
The sales and travel period for this promotional offer is until August 31, 2011.
