Haryana has requested the Centre to speed up the proposal for a greenfield international cargo airport at Meham in the State. The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda informed the Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Mr Ajit Singh here on Friday that 2,770 acres of land has already been identified for the project and purchased from private parties. The project has been approved by the Ministry as well as the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, he said . Mr Singh assured Mr Hooda that the Centre would consider positively the State Government’s request.
