The Karnataka Government today appointed Mr Mohan Rajaghatta as Director of Karwar Port following reports that incumbent Capt Swamy remained inaccessible after police stepped up probe into the missing iron ore and manganese stocks.
Capt Swamy has remained inaccessible since February 11 after a team of CoD (Corps of Detectives) went to the port office to question him, sources said. Port sources said Mr Rajghatta assumed charge today. The CoD is investigating illegal exports and missing of manganese and iron ore stocks from the port yard. – PTI
