The Eastern Railway (ER) has announced additional Puja special trains for North Bengal. According to ER sources, three new Puja Specials will run between Howrah and New Jalpaiguri on September 30, October 2 and 4, leaving Howrah at 4.15 pm and reaching New Jalpaiguri next morning at 4 am. On return journey, the trains will leave New Jalpaiguri at 6.25 am reaching Howrah the same day at 4.30 pm. The booking will start from September 22.
ER had earlier announced eight Puja Specials between Kolkata and New Jalpaiguri and another 18 between Howrah and New Jalpaiguri on nominated days during the Puja period. In addition, nine pairs of Puja Specials will be run between Kolkata and Kamakshya (Guwahati) and another 10 pairs between Kolkata and Guwahati via New Jalpaiguri jointly by ER and Northeast Frontier Railway on nominated days during the Puja period, the sources added.
