The Centre has sanctioned Rs 121 crore for the revised plan of city's BRTS (Bus Rapid Transit System) corridor project. This was conveyed on Thursday by the Union Urban Administration Minister, Mr Kamal Nath, at a meeting held in New Delhi, sources in the Madhya Pradesh Urban Administration Department said.
Madhya Pradesh Urban Administration Minister, Mr Babulal Gaur, was among those who attended the meeting. Mr Nath also gave information about sanction of the second instalment of Rs 171 crore for 20 cities under the Urban Infrastructure Development Scheme for Small and Medium Towns scheme, which is being implemented with Central assistance in 33 cities of Madhya Pradesh.
