Freight rates for 10-tonne pay load for select southern destinations hardened up to Rs 1,000 in the local trucks transport market on Saturday, following tight position of trucks.
Transporters said less position of trucks as compared to cargo movements, mainly pushed up some of southern destinations freight rates.
Delhi to Chennai and Coimbatore freights asked higher by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 42,000 and Rs 50,000, respectively.
Rates to Mysore and Pondicherry also went up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 48,000 and Rs 44,000, respectively.
