The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed Kingfisher Airlines’ special leave petition following United Bank of India declaring the airline's chairman, Vijay Mallya, and three others as wilful defaulters. The airline has said it will pursue all legal remedies available.

The Supreme Court observed that the SLP filed by KFA against UBI, seeking legal representation before the Grievance Redressal Committee of the bank, had become infructuous as the Committee had already made a decision. The Court said that it was up to KFA to pursue such legal remedies as are available.

In the light of this ruling, the airline in a statement said it will “vigorously challenge the decision of UBI.”
