Beginning October 31, Air India Express will operate direct flights from Muscat to three new destinations in Kerala, as well as increase the number of flights from the Gulf to the country.

The direct flights to Kozhikode, Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi are bound to help Kerala expatriates in the country and the region, the airline said.

According to the new schedule, from Muscat, Air India Express will operate seven daily standalone flights per week to Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram and four flights per week to Kochi.

From Salalah, the airline will operate two standalone flights a week to Kozhikode, one to Thiruvananthapuram and one to Kochi.

The airline will now operate 19 flights a week to India against the existing 17.

In the winter schedule, Air India Express will rationalise its routes between Oman and India, focusing on Kerala, to offer convenient connectivity to passengers.

The changes were made at AI Express’ headquarters in India to meet growing market demand. The four direct standalone flights from Muscat to Thiruvananthapuram will be on Saturdays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and the four direct standalone flights to Kochi will be on Saturdays, Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.

The two direct standalone flights from Salalah to Kozhikode every week will be on Wednesdays and Fridays and the one direct standalone flight to Thiruvananthapuram every week will be on Sundays, while the flight to Kochi will be on Thursdays.

The airline has also made a few changes in its flight schedule from Oman to Amritsar and Mangalore.
