Air Pegasus plans to launch daily Bengaluru-Mangaluru flights from August 21. The airline is also planning to launch a daily flight to Chennai and to fly twice a day to Hubballi.

As part of its expansion plan, Air Pegasus has also made Bengaluru-Madurai flight from thrice a week to daily flight.

Shyson Thomas, Managing Director, Air Pegasus, was quoted in a statement as saying that the airline received tremendous response from passengers since its inception four months ago and it had decided to expand services to meet the growing demand.

The Mangaluru flight will leave Bengaluru at 10.40 am and reach Mangaluru at 11.50 am and the return flight will leave Mangaluru at 12.15 pm and reach Bengaluru at 13.25 pm.

“Both the Bengaluru-Hubballi flight and the Bengaluru-Madurai flight have seen an average occupancy of approximately 80 per cent and to meet the growing demand, we decided to increase the frequency,” Thomas said.

Chennai and Mangaluru will be the new destinations to be connected from Bengaluru in addition to the existing Hubballi, Trivandrum, Madurai and Kadapa.

Ground handling Decor Aviation, which is part of the Decor Group of Companies, currently provides ground handling services to Indian and foreign carriers at 11 airports in India.

Operating out of the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru, Air Pegasus also has plans to connect Tuticorin, Belgavi, Rajahmundry and Pondicherry.
