Bangladesh Railway today signed major pacts with 2 Indian companies to build bridges to enable faster train services between Dhaka and Chittagong at a cost of about $1.26 million by constructing a second track for the route.
The pact was signed with India's Stoop Consultant Pvt Ltd and Scot Wilson India Pvt Ltd to construct the second Bhairab and second Titas bridges on the Meghna and Titas rivers at a ceremony witnessed by the Communication Minister, Mr Syed Abul Hossain.
