The three-day Defence & Aerosupply India 2015 organised by Kenes Exhibitions and Government of Telangana is expected to serve as a platform for potential collaborations in the sector.
Inaugurating the Second Edition of the global conclave ESL Narasihmhan, Governor of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh said: “India is today capable of meeting the growing demands of the Defence & Aerospace industry. Today, we have the right skills, competence, determination to boost the growth of the sector. Indigenisation is an important component of doing business and Telangana is confident that the growth of this sector is bound to happen.”
Jupally Krishna Rao, Minister for Industries, Handlooms & Textiles and Sugar, Telangana, said: "The 3-day conclave will serve as the right platform to help the growth of the defence & aerospace sector in the State. With the new Defence Policy planned by the Telangana, based on the deliberations of the conclave, it would give right impetus to the industry.”
In his inaugural address, VK Saraswat, Member, Niti Aayog and former Scientific Advisor to Raksha Mantri, said the Indian defence industry offers a huge opportunities of $200 billion and we are at the threshold of growth of the sector."
