Passengers on South Central Railways (SCR) can soon book retiring rooms online. The Railways has launched e-booking at 18 stations in the zone.
The move is part of the budgetary announcement made by the Minister to do so in a phased manner. The objective is to provide convenience to passengers to book in advance, as per their itinerary.
Some of the important stations include, Hyderabad, ParliVaijnath, Warangal, Kurnool, Nizamabad, Vijayawada, Tenali, Rajahmundry, Nellore, Tirupati, Raichur, Guntur, Nanded, Aurangabad etc.
E-booking of retiring rooms at Secunderabad has already been started as a pilot project earlier and is continuing to function.
Advance booking of retiring rooms at the above stations can be done through internet on a confirmed/RAC reserved ticket, during the reservation period (advance booking period) by logging on www.irctctourism.com.
