Rajesh Agrawal, Member -Rolling Stock, Railway Board visited the Rail Wheel Factory (RWF) here and reviewed the performance of their works.
The Railway Board is the highest policy making body of the Indian Railways.
While reviewing the RWF’s works, Agrawal interacted with the staff, supervisors and officers and appreciated the progress in the production performance.
RWF, so far, has achieved 104 per cent of targets for wheels and 100 per cent for axles respectively.
Agrawal has directed RWF management to explore the possibility of export of railway wheels. For becoming export competent, he suggested various means and ways to reduce the process cost.
Sanjeeve Kishore, Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer and K Harikrishnan, Principal Chief Personnel Officer and other senior officers participated in the review meeting.
