GMR Hyderabad International Airport (GHIAL), a subsidiary of GMR Infrastructure Company Ltd, has announced that it has begun collecting user development fee of Rs 430 per domestic passenger and Rs 1,700 for international passengers.

GHIAL is a Special Purpose Vehicle for development, operation, and management of the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) at Hyderabad.

This is pursuant to the order of the High Court at Hyderabad. The Director-General of Civil Aviation had issued a notification on November 2 to airlines and other stakeholders restoring the collection of tariff/ airport charges at RGIA with effect from November 3, GMR Infrastructure Ltd has informed BSE in a statement.

Accordingly, User Development Fee (UDF) will be levied at Rs 430 per embarking domestic passenger (exclusive of service tax) and at Rs 1,700 per embarking international passenger (exclusive of service tax).

It further said various other tariffs and charges prevailing prior to the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority order will also be restored at the airport. Passenger traffic at Hyderabad airport crossed the 10-million mark earlier this year.
