The International Container Transhipment Terminal (ICTT) at Vallarpadam has handled 48.61 moves GCR (gross crane rate) on MV Kota Harum , bettering 33.95, which DP World Kochi had done on MV Caravel Pride .
This is the fifth time within this month ICTT has achieved 30-plus GCR on vessels. The monthly average stands at 26.64 moves till date, 6.2 moves more than the average last month. The ICTT has gained momentum especially on the operational efficiency front; the continuous performance stands proof for the same, a press release said.
This momentum will help ICTT for the upcoming cashew season, as already Maersk, CMA and PIL has confirmed their Main line calls at ICTT. The reputation for efficiency and expertise is driven by DP World's leadership in innovation and unyielding commitment to their customers all around the world. With this excellent operational out put, ICTT has won the confidence of several customers, the release said.
