New Mangalore Port registered 11.72 per cent growth in traffic handling in the first six months of 2017-18. The port handled 19.54 million tonnes of cargo during April-September of 2017-18 as against 17.49 million tonnes in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
A press release by New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT) said here on Wednesday that the port handled 50,696 TEUs of containers in the first six months of 2017-18.
