Rinac India Ltd, a cold chain turnkey solution provider, has bagged the contract to set up ‘Coolport’ — a perishable cargo handling facility at Kempegowda International Airport, Devanahalli, Bengaluru.
This order was awarded by Air India SATS Airport Services Private Ltd (AISATS), a 50:50 joint venture company between Air India Ltd and SATS Ltd, a ground and cargo handling company.
The contract valued at Rs 21.75 crore envisages the setting up of an integrated cold room complex capable of handling food and perishable goods.
Under the agreement, the facility will be set up on an area of 2.62 acres. The project commenced in November 2015, will be completed in six months.
