Train services of South Eastern Railway remained disrupted for the third day on Tuesday due to water logging on railway tracks between Tikiapara and Howrah Yard following incessant rains in past few days, according to a SER release.
The measures taken by the SER authorities included change of originating station from Howrah to Santragachi for some trains, cancellation (five trains were cancelled), short termination of seven trains and rescheduling two trains, namely, Howrah-Chennai Coromandel Express and Howrah-Hyderabad East Coast Express. In addition, 15 pairs of EMU locals were cancelled, the release added.
