Shri Kailash Logistics (SKLL), which commissioned the first phase of its Logicity at Oragadam near Chennai last year, has completed the second phase of land acquisition.

The company has acquired around 55 acres in Phase II of the Logicity project.

Phase–I of Logicity comprises three warehouses (aggregate capacity of over 3 lakh sq ft), a business centre (24,000 sq ft), canteen and dormitory block.

The entire constructed area is let out to Nippon Express and TT Assembly (subsidiary of Toyota) on a long-term lease. Bank of India has opened a branch at the Business Centre. Logicity provides security with CCTV support, a statement issued here said.

Responding to the demand for warehousing in and around Oragadam, the company is in the process of setting up another 2.25 lakh sq ft warehouse space. The company proposes to add a further 11 lakh sq ft in due course.

Having attained a foothold in Oragadam, SKLL is now looking at North Chennai, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Hyderabad and Pune for expansion.

Operationally, notwithstanding the depressed economic environment, SKLL has fared well in the recently concluded year.

The company’s Transport Division, which services clients such as Ultratech Cement, Chettinad Cement, Dalmia Cements, United Spirits and Sree Sakthi Paper logged over Rs 26 crore revenue, while the warehousing division fetched about Rs 7 crore.
