Southern Railway will run special trains during Diwali to meet the extra rush of passengers. The special trains will be run via Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Namakkal and Karur.
Train number Coimbatore-Chennai Central super fast special will leave Coimbatore at 12.30 a.m. on November 1 and 4. It will arrive at Chennai Central at 8.30 a.m. on the same day. This train will stop at Perambur also.
In the return direction, train number 06625 will leave Chennai Central at 12.30 p.m. on November 1 and arrive at Coimbatore at 9 p.m. the same day. This train will stop at Wallajah Road, Gudiyattam, Vaniyambadi, Morappur, Bommidi and Coimbatore North also.
The trains will also stop at regular stations of Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi and Arakkonam.
The other special train will be run between Tirunelveli and Chennai.
Train number 06752 Tirunelveli-Chennai Central special will leave Tirunelveli at 5.45 p.m. on October 31 and arrive at Chennai Central at 7.45 a.m. the next day.
The train will stop at Kovilpatti, Sattur, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Karur, Mohanur, Namakkal, Rasipuram, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Arakkonam and Perambur, says a release from Southern Railway.
