Salem division of the Southern Railways has flagged off the Electrical Safety Propaganda van to sensitise people about the risk of going near electrified tractions, climbing over electric locomotives – stationed or moving, climbing or touching the traction poles/ structures, in railway premises.
The van, according to Shubhranshu, Divisional Manager, Salem Division, would cover about 73 stations and level crossings starting from Tirupathur to Podhanur.
The campaign is on for three days starting today.
