Freight Tiger, a business-to-business logistics technology startup, has raised $8 million funding, led by Lightspeed Venture Partners. The round also saw participation from Alsthom Industries (a Dalmia Group company) and Pawan Munjal Family Trust.

"We have built a world-class multidisciplinary team with technology, operations and product backgrounds to make a significant impact. The current fund-raising round and investors’ confidence strengthens our vision to build an operating system that powers the entire logistics and freight ecosystem,” Swapnil Shah, CEO and Founder at Freight Tiger said.

Mumbai-based Freight Tiger has offices in Bangalore and Delhi.

Freight Commerce Solutions, Freight Tiger’s parent company, had earlier received seed investment from Shriram Transport Finance Corporation and Mathew Cyriac (former Co-CEO of Blackstone’s India Office).
