Integrated textile parks, diversification to new markets and technology upgradation are likely to be the thrust areas for the Textiles Ministry while setting its 100-day agenda.
The Ministry is expected to convene a meeting on Friday to firm up the blueprint. Asked about the Textile Ministry’s 100-day agenda, Textiles Secretary Zohra Chatterjee said: “Infrastructure, raw materials, markets (diversification) and technology will be the thrust areas”.
“We are working it out. We are taking a meeting tomorrow,” she said on the sidelines of National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) convocation ceremony here.
