Armed Maoists blasted the railway tracks between Kurhni and Turkey railway stations in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district.
Over 50 ultras triggered a mini cylinder blast badly damaging the tracks between Kurhni and Turkey railway stations late last night, the Additional Director General of Police (Rail), Mr S.K. Bhardwaj, said.
Rail traffic in the section, which was disrupted for more than three hours as a result of the blast, resumed at 4 a.m. after the railway authorities repaired the tracks, he said.
Maoists had called a 24-hour bandh in Tirhut area to protest the arrest of their ‘commander’. The bandh ended last night.
