Mercedes-Benz India on Thursday entered the Vidharbha region with the opening of its dealership network in Nagpur.
“With establishment of the facility at Nagpur, Mercedes-Benz India now enjoys a network spread across 28 cities, with over 57 touch points in India,” the company said in a statement.
Located at the MIDC premises in Nagpur, the dealership is spread across 43,500 sq ft. The facility will also offer integrated after sales and service facility. The company also unveiled New E-Cabriolet in the city.
“It is our understanding of the Indian customer and marketplace which convinced us about the potential of Nagpur and its adjoining areas like Bhandara, Chandrapur, Yavatmal, Akola and Amravati,” Mercedes-Benz India Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Peter Honegg, said.
The luxury car manufacturer has its bus building facility at Chakan in Pune, spread over 100 acres of land, and has rolled out 30,000 luxury cars (till December last), Mr Honegg said.
The 30,000-mark was achieved within a span of three years. The company has also decided to launch Mercedes-Benz coach for intercity transport. The two axle and three axle coach chassis will be offered by Mercedes while body will be assembled by Indian partner Sutlej Motors, he added.
