In an attempt to whittle down opposition to the proposed Jaitapur nuclear power project, the Maharashtra Government has invited former Atomic Energy Commission Chairman, Dr Anil Kakodkar, to address members of both the Houses of the State Legislature on Monday.

Dr Kakodkar's lecture would be held in the central hall of the State Assembly.

The lecture by the eminent scientist is an attempt to sensitise members of both the Houses on the issues surrounding nuclear power projects, including Jaitapur.
