The Finance Minister, Mr K.M. Mani, launched the Web site for the State Financial Commission cell ( >www.sfc.kerala.gov.in ) at his chamber here.
Mr Mani expressed the hope that the site would carry inform the public on action taken on recommendations made by state finance commissions from time to time. The Web site will also streamline coordination of the work between successive finance commissions during a changeover.
A third of the state plan outlay is allocated for the local bodies. The Web site will enable monitoring of schemes being implemented by local bodies, their revenue and expenditure accounts and base-level data of each, an official spokesman said.
