Accountants with the Kudumbashree poverty eradication mission of the State Government are being put under an intensive training programme here in separate batches from Monday.
Drawn from the Kudumbashree units across the State, the staff would get hands-on training on latest accounting practices and packages, an official spokesman said here.
ACCOUNTING TASKS
To be held at Mar Gregorios Renewal Centre here, the two-day training programme would go on until May 12 for different batches.
Among the accounting tasks to be covered under the programme are preparation of ledgers and cash books; latest auditing and accounting practices; maintaining subsidy registers; documentation for the CDS (community development societies), and digital management information systems (MIS).
The programme will also assess the acquired levels of knowledge about extant accounting practices and duties of accountants so that gaps could be identified.
It would also seek to equip them with the latest trends in the trade.
DETAILED SCHEDULE
Accountants from the districts of Alappuzha, Kottayam and Malappuram are scheduled to attend the programme on Monday and Tuesday.
Those from Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Kannur will attend the session on April 29 and 30.
May 9 and 10 has bee set apart would for accountants of Kollam, Palakkad, Kasaragod and Idukki, while the final module on May 11 and 12 is dedicated for those from Pathanamthitta, Kozhikode, Thrissur and Wayanad.
