A MoU has been inked between Pondicherry University and the Syiah Kuala University, Indonesia paving the way for exchange of scientific research materials, publications and students and faculty members between the two universities.
The Registrar of Pondicherry University, Mr S. Loganathan, and the Rector of Syiah Kuala University, Mr Darni M. Daud, signed the MoU here today.
Talking to reporters after signing the document, Mr Daud said a batch of students from Indonesia would do courses in Pondicherry University in the next six months.
The Pondicherry University Vice-Chancellor, Professor J.A.K. Taleen, said the university had entered into academic cooperation with as many as 20 institutions including the ones located abroad.
