The Chamber of Small Industry Associations (COSIA) and the Jagdishprasad Jhabarmal Tibrewala University at Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan have come together to set up a renewable energy research centre.
This is the first joint venture of its kind in the country where an industry association and an educational institution have joined hands to set up a research centre, the COSIA said.
The centre, which will come up in Rajasthan, will help carry out research in the vital field of renewable energy, the COSIA President, Mr M.R. Khambete, has said.
The city-headquartered COSIA represents more than 300 associations of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), he said.
