In a bid to promote energy conservation, the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd has announced Energy Conservation Award for government departments.
The award would be given to those government departments at district level who would reduce their electricity consumption in 2011-12 as compared with 2010-11, official sources said here.
The award would be given in two districts at district level and office, they said.
