The Uttar Pradesh Government has sanctioned 68 flood control proposals worth Rs 432.52 crore in the State.
During a meeting of the UP Flood Control chaired by the Irrigation Minister, Mr Naseemuddin Siddiqui, held on Wednesday, it was decided that flood control rooms will be set up and required staff will also be deployed, besides meetings of steering committees set up at district level.
Mr Siddiqui said that sensitive and super-sensitive places related to floods be identified and material required for flood safety be procured at the earliest.
