Taking forward its skill development initiative in Madhya Pradesh, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has built a centre in Chhindwara, the constituency of Urban Development Minister, Mr Kamal Nath.
The centre, which was inaugurated by the Minister on Tuesday, has a teaching-cum-administrative block, hostel and dining facilities, according to a CII release.
As of now, CII’s skill development initiative in the state has eight companies on board.
To professionally manage the centre, discussions are on with Pan-IIT Alumni Reach for India (PARFI), a training arm of Pan-IIT, for managing and running the curriculum, it said.
