The State government has notified the formation of district e-governance societies in all districts except Kannur and Palakkad. The district collector will be chairperson while the assistant district coordinator of Akshaya e-governance initiative will be convenor. Other members on the committee are: additional district magistrate; district police superintendent; principal agricultural officer; regional transport officer; district supply officer; deputy collector in charge of elections; deputy director-panchayats; regional joint director-municipalities; district treasury officer; and district planning officer. The district informatics officer would be the project officer, the spokesman added.
