Finance Minister P. Chidambaram today asserted that foreign investments are an imperative to address the current account deficit (CAD) problem in the country.
Current account deficit is a bigger worry than fiscal deficit, Chidambaram said in his Budget speech in the Lok Sabha today.
Foreign investments of $75 billion are needed in the next two years to finance CAD, he said.
