India and the US have signed an MoU to enhance the cooperation of the two countries in the fields of energy security, clean energy and climate change.
PK Pujari, Secretary of the Power Ministry, said the two nations are already working closely in some areas and the MoU will help in expanding the horizon.
US Ambassador to India, Richard R Verma, who signed the MoU, said it will provide momentum for cooperative work which needs to be done. “The objective of the MoU is to enhance cooperation on energy security, clean energy and climate change through increased bilateral engagement and further joint initiatives to promote sustainable growth,” said a statment.
