Finance Minister Arun Jaitley is on a two-day official visit to Bangladesh. He will arrive in Dhaka on Tuesday.

During the visit, he is likely to call on Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and will also hold a bilateral level meeting with Finance Minister of Bangladesh Abul Maal A Muhith.

“Jaitley and Bangladesh Finance Minister will launch the Cashless Visa Services,” said an official release.

During his visit, a Dollar Credit Line Agreement between the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and Export-Import Bank of India (EXIM Bank) is likely to be signed for a third Line of Credit.

Further, Joint Interpretative Notes on the Agreement between India and Bangladesh for the Promotion and Protection of Investments are also likely to be signed.

Jaitley will also deliver the inaugural address at the Business Meeting between Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industry and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry as well as deliver a talk on the Macro-economic Initiatives of the Government of India including financial inclusion, demonetisation and cashless economy.

He will depart for New Delhi on October 5.
