The Karnataka High Court today dismissed a writ petition by an IAS officer challenging a Government order barring officials from acting in films.
Justice Anand Byrareddy dismissed the petition filed by Mr K. Shivaram, who had acted in several Kannada films. Mr Shivaram, the Social Welfare Commissioner, had challenged the order passed by the Government headed by Mr S. M. Krishna in 2004.
