British corporate companies are keen to invest in Arunachal Pradesh, the country's High Commissioner, Mr Richard Stagg, has told the Chief Minister, Mr Dorjee Khandu, official sources said today.
Mr Stagg, currently on a five-day visit to the Himalayan state, met Mr Khandu at his residential office here last night and told him that the several British corporate bodies are willing to invest in hydro power, tourism and mineral development sectors of the State.
Mr Khandu has welcomed the British interest and said investment from that country would help in improving the state's tourism infrastructure, the sources said.
Arunachal, he said, is witnessing ‘massive progress' in all sectors and highlighted the development in areas like communication, agriculture, horticulture and medicinal plants.
Mr Khandu also spoke about the greenfield airport project which would minimise the infrastructural bottleneck of the State, the sources said.
