A new website of Inter-State Council Secretariat (ISCS) was today unveiled by the Union Home Minister Mr P Chidambaram.
The address of the website is — http://interstatecouncil.nic.in — and the office works to coordinate the affairs of the centre and the state.
“The new website developed in house by the secretariat provides a wealth of information on the genesis, constitution, procedure and meetings of the Inter-State Council and zonal councils, the evolution of Indian states and various issues of centre state and Inter State relations,” an official statement said.
The ISCS Additional Secretary and Adviser, Mr P G Dhar Chakrabarti briefed about the role and functioning of the department, which functions under the Ministry of Home Affairs, during the event.
