The Government will not transfer subsidy under the Direct Benefit Transfer system for food, fertiliser, diesel and kerosene.
The Government plans to roll out direct benefit transfer in 20 districts from January 1, in 11 districts from February 1 and in 12 districts from March 1.
The system will be implemented in seven schemes from January 1. A total of 26 schemes are to be covered under the direct cash transfer system. The system will be rolled out in various schemes according to the due date of payment.
On the question about possible candidate for PM, Chidambaram said: "I know my limitation and I have conducted myself within the limitations."
