Veteran Congress leader Konijeti Rosaiah has said that he would discharge duties as the new Governor of Tamil Nadu in an apolitical manner.
Mr Rosaiah will take charge of his new assignment at 4.22 pm this evening in Chennai.
The former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh left by a special aircraft to Chennai from the Begumpet airport here this morning.
“I will discharge my duties as Governor to the best of my ability, with a clear distinction and all sincerity,” Mr he told newsmen before leaving.
The over five-decade old public life he spent in Andhra Pradesh had given him immense satisfaction, Mr remarked and wished all prosperity for the state.
