The Budget session of the Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha today started on a stormy note as the Opposition, especially BSP, created a ruckus on the first day during the address by Governor, Mr B.L. Joshi.
As soon as Mr Joshi began his address to a joint sitting of the Assembly and the Council, BSP members raised deep blue banners and jumped on the table of reporters all the time raising slogans.
Shouting ‘Governor go back’, the BSP members alleged that transfers had become a trade in the state and demanded the dismissal of the Samajwadi Party Government.
The BSP members also threw paper balls on the banners towards the seat. While Congress members were seen holding banners, the BJP MLAs stood from their seats.
Amid commotion, the Governor read the starting and conclusive part of his address and left the House.
The House was later adjourned till 12.30 PM by the Speaker.
