The Uttar Pradesh Petroleum Traders Association (UPPTA) has called off their token strike today after talks with the State Government, official sources said here.
“A delegation of the UPPTA had a meeting with the senior officials of the state government last night and on their assurance, the association decided to call off its strike,” they said.
The association had given a 12-hour token strike call on Thursday to press for their demand.
The main demand of the UPPTA was payment of dues by the Government against petrol and diesel products purchased on credit during the last Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
