The Finance Minister, Mr Pranab Mukherjee, held talks with DMK chief, Mr M. Karunanidhi and requested him to reconsider decision to withdraw DMK ministers from the Government, said Mr T.R. Baalu.
Earlier, the DMK leader, Mr Dayanidhi Maran, met the Finance Minister, Mr Pranab Mukherjee, in the wake of crisis over seat-sharing for Tamil Nadu polls.
Mr Ahmed Patel, Political Secretary to Ms Sonia Gandhi, and the Union Minister, Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad, were also present during the meeting between Mr Maran and Mr Mukherjee
