The Union Finance Minister, Mr Pranab Mukherjee, on Friday made it clear that it was not possible to spoon-feed a region only from Centre and State sponsorships.
According to the Minister, a region will have to develop its skilled workforce, entrepreneurship and managerial inputs, too.
“For sustained development, no region can be left behind. It is not possible to spoon-feed a region from Centre and state sponsorships only,” Mr Mukherjee said while inaugurating the management development programme of MDI, Murshidabad.
MDI, Murshidabad, will currently operate from Kolkata and shift base once its Murshidabad campus is ready. Other management courses will start once the new campus is ready.
