The Governor of Kerala, Mr R. S. Gavai, gave away the Vocational Excellence Awards 2010-11 announced by Rotary Club of Trivandrum South at a function here.
The award winners were Mr G. Shankar of the Habitat Technology Group (for institutions) and Mr G. Asok Kumar, Director, Ministry of Power, Government of India (for individuals).
Mr T. K. Alexander Vaidian, President of the club, presided over the function. Major General M. K. V. Panicker welcomed the gathering.
Rotary past district governor Mr R. Reghunath and Assistant Governor Mr Benny Thomas spoke.
The award winners made acceptance speeches. Dr Koshy Philip, Secretary, proposed a vote of thanks.
