Western India Regional Council (WIRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has unanimously elected Mr Shardul Dilip Shah, partner of M.A. Shah & Co (Chartered Accountants), as Secretary for 2011-12. This will be his second term in WIRC. Mr Shah is also the Managing Committee member of Bombay Chartered Accountant's Society.
He specialises in Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) and International Tax. He has co-authored a book on FEMA published by ICAI in December last year. Others who were elected include Mr Srinivas Joshi as Chairman of WIRC, Mr. B.K. Patel as Vice-Chairman and Mr. Julfesh Shah as Treasurer.
